About Tucker
Say hello to Tucker, the cheeky little sidekick with a big personality and a heart full of love, Tucker might just be your perfect match.
Tucker is a Terrier x Maltese and is 4 months and 1 week old and is growing into the kind of dog that makes people smile wherever he goes. With his soft coat, curious eyes, and confident little strut, Tucker is equal parts mischief and snuggle bug.
Tucker is currently 5.5kgs
Tucker is still a puppy, so he’s got a fair bit of energy, but it’s the best kind, playful zoomies in the yard, tug-of-war battles with the other dogs, and wild wrestling sessions that usually end with him passed out in a cozy heap. He’s just discovering his voice, so you might catch a few joyful barks during play or a couple of adorable morning howls when he’s ready to start the day. But overall, he’s a quiet pup who’s learning the rhythm of family life with impressive ease.
He’s doing wonderfully with his toilet training, especially when taken outside regularly. As soon as he gets out there, he knows what to do. He hasn’t had the chance to try out a doggy door just yet, but judging by his quick wit, he’d likely figure it out in no time.
At night, Tucker happily snoozes in his crate, settling quickly and sleeping soundly. During the day, he’s all about curling up on the couch or snuggling in as close as physically possible to his people.
He’s an affectionate pup who thrives on love and attention.
Tucker is still learning the art of doggy body language. He loves playing with his foster siblings who are a Kelpie and a Mini Foxie, although he sometimes misreads their signals and thinks a stern correction means “game on.”
Thankfully, he’s a quick study and is beginning to understand when to ease off and when it’s playtime. He hasn’t been cat tested yet, and he does enjoy giving chase to the backyard birds, so a slow, considered introduction would be best if his new home includes feline or feathered friends.
As for kids, he hasn’t spent much time with them just yet, but given his sweet and sociable nature, it’s easy to imagine him bonding beautifully with gentle, respectful children.
Tucker hasn’t ventured out for walks just yet, but with his confidence and curiosity, it won’t be long before he’s trotting proudly by your side.
Whether he’s exploring the backyard or curled up in a warm lap, he approaches life with an open heart and a wagging tail. He’s motivated by treats, praise, and most of all, your attention. He’s not much of a chewer, but he does enjoy gnawing on his toys and showing off his strength in tug-of-war.
What makes Tucker truly special is his balance - he’s a confident, cheeky puppy who also knows how to switch off and chill. He’s easygoing, adaptable, and full of love, making him an absolute delight to have around.
Tucker is still young and learning, so he’ll need a family who can offer him guidance, patience, and plenty of affection as he grows into the loyal companion he’s clearly destined to be.
Tucker is ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of cuddles into his forever home. Could it be yours?
