About Yennifer
Meet Yennifer, she was found in an industrial skip bin - yes, you read that right - with her tiny head stuck in the drain hole. She was having a truly terrible day and made sure her rescuers knew it with plenty of spitting and hissing. At that point, she had every reason to distrust humans. But thanks to some very patient foster carers, Yennifer has made an incredible transformation from scrappy survivor to cautious companion.
She’s come a long way in her foster home, learning to trust and even like pats - when she’s in the mood, of course. Unfortunately, she did have to move back to the cattery as one of the resident cats at the foster house was not a fan of hers. Since being back at the cattery, she has let us know that she is not a fan of cattery life, so she can be hesitant around new people. But if she knows you – she will happily soak up some affection. She got on fantastically with the indoor dog and the resident cats at her original foster home.
Yennifer is extremely food-motivated. Treats are her love language. If there’s food involved, she’ll suddenly become much more enthusiastic about life, people, and probably the meaning of existence. She is especially fond of the creamy treats, they are her weakness!!
When she is comfortable, she will show her super playful side. And her absolutely favourite are wand toys, anything with feathers, ribbons, or dangling bits that she can stalk and hunt like the fierce (and adorable) predator she is at heart. Waving one of these magical wands around is a guaranteed way to win her over and enjoy some seriously entertaining play sessions. It's a joy to watch her confidence grow as she lets her guard down and fully embraces her inner goofball.
One of her absolute favourite things is finding a sunny spot and curling up for a nap, especially if that sunspot also coincides with her favourite fluffy bed. If there’s a sun puddle nearby, that’s where you’ll find her, living her best warm and cozy life. And while she’s not the type to leap into your arms for cuddles, she does enjoy pats and human company - on her own terms, of course.
Yennifer is looking for an understanding forever home with someone who’ll give her the time and space she needs to settle in. She may not be a lap cat on day one, but with a bit of patience, she will show you her gentle heart, her rumbling purr, and the kind of love that feels extra special because it’s earned.
If you’re ready for a cat with character, charm, and one of the best comeback stories around, Yennifer is waiting to meet you.
All Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens come to you vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and litter trained. As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
