Julius is a sweet dog who’s ready for a second chance at happiness. Life hasn’t always been easy for him, but he’s shown amazing progress and is eager to find someone who will help him continue to feel safe and blossom.

Why Julius is Special:
• Gentle and Loving: Julius is low key, affectionate, and loves praise and treats.
• Quick Learner: He’s picked up new tricks and is always eager to please.
• Great Manners: Walks beautifully on a leash and can ignore people and dogs when encouraged. He is very gentle when taking food.
• Low Maintenance: Happy to nap the day away and doesn’t need constant exercise.
• Independent: Can be left alone during the day with no fuss.

What Julius Needs:
• A calm, confident person who can provide gentle guidance and clear boundaries.
• Patience as he continues to build trust, especially with men and other dogs.
• Someone who will enjoy his quirky personality-including his adorable stubborn

Julius is looking for a loving home where he can feel safe, calm, and be the wonderful companion he is meant to be. He remains initially nervous around males, new places, unfamiliar people and other dogs. Slow introductions and positive praise are the solutions to this. He is a slow burn.

Despite his size he would be a great apartment dog, as this gentle giant, is low maintenance in energy but has so much love and affection to give.

Julius has a heart of gold, very kind and attentive to his surroundings. He let's other dogs have their sniff and is happy to move on without a fuss.

He's a gem on the lead, always walks close to you and never pulls. He can get scared of loud sudden noises but is easily reassured by cuddles and praises.
