SEEKING FOSTER with a view TO ADOPT
FOR Max (Maxwell) 3.5yo Staffy cross, 15kg, male, desexed 📍Bentleigh VIC

Max has gone through so much before ending in our care . For 18 mths, He was passed around from a kill pound in NSW to a rescue then a shelter only to be rejected and returned. Max was never given a chance to settle or given structure /leadership etc

In Feb 2025 we were made aware of Max and took him in our care. Max arrived as a stress dog , scared shaking and lost. He may have been treated/handled badly by people in his past so gentleness and patience are the way to win his heart .

Slowly our wonderful foster family let Max decompress, give Max house training , car rides , obedience skills and socialisation experiences as well as Vet exposure with our wonderful partner vet Progressive Vet Care Dr.Katrina.

Max is sweet friendly young staffy . He is independent and playful. Crate trained and lovessssss settling in the lounge /couch with occasionally sneaking into your bedroom at night
Max is good in the car and lovesssss yummy food . Very clever true to his genetics he lovesss to please you
He doesn't touch anything that's not his toys . He doesn't chew shoes or have any destructive behaviours.

Max has a keen interest in water , if you have a big water bowl , big enough for his paws, he'll play splish splash 🐶🤣 with it.

He also lovesssss swinging his toys around and entertaining himself .

Being young he is energetic and will need someone with time to train and exercise his clever brain . He loves adventuring outdoor and exploring . He will still need to continue his training , and our charity will provide support with this. We only engage with reputable trainers and will work with you, and your schedule to support Max and you
Max respond best with positive encouragement and not forced to do anything he doesnt want.

Coming from rural /regional place, city/suburbia life can be overwhelming so Max need a family with patience . Someone who understands slow intro and work with Max's pace .
He can be nervous of new places , vet etc but once he knows the place or the vet he settles nicely.

It's time now for Max to look for his forever home , and to help Max slowly build relationship with new family we are seeking a FOSTER TO ADOPT arrangement . Usually 4 to 6 weeks period before adoption is then finalized.
This sweet loving young man deserve to find his forever family one that will understand him and love him unconditionally while being his biggest advocate, navigating this new world.

We are seeking a family who

✅️active lifestyle
✅️knows basic obedience skills
✅️patience
✅️has the time to nurture / help Max. Work from home or flexible work schedule
✅️enjoys building positive relationship through training
✅️seeking a canine companion that is youthful , funny, cheeky yet sweet loveable and playful
❌️not tested with cats or other small animals
❌️no young kids due to Max being young and playful
✅️🐶 Max respond best with calm mature well socialised dogs. Not a fan of BOISTEROUS dogs or dogs lacking social manners.

This young man has so much to offer incld lifetime joy and love if you are lucky enough to have him ❤️ in your life
