Mocha is a very friendly medium-sized dog (22kgs), who loves to be active, enjoying her walks and meeting people and other dogs. While she loves mixing with her canine friends, she is just as happy amusing herself with her toys or just hanging out with her human buddy. Riding in the car and playing on the beach is something she loves to do. She has good recall, really enjoying stretching out and running around a footy oval.

Even though she is very good with people, caution around small children is required as she can get a bit boisterous and over-excited. She is a good guard dog, barking appropriately when unexpected visitors call, but she is never aggressive. She is untested with cats.

Mocha has made significant progress since coming into SAFE’s care with anxiety and trust issues. She has grown in confidence and has got to the stage where she likes her visits to the local café, where even up to recent times she would want to avoid.

Mocha has had a rough start to life, but she is a smart girl who will repay ongoing training and confidence-building. While she is enjoying being with her Carer’s dog, she is likely to thrive in a single-dog household where she will become a very loyal and loving companion.

Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview and a property inspection (as it is vital we rehome our animals to a safe, secure and suitable home).

The adoption fee of $650 assists to cover the costs of desexing, microchip, microchip ownership transfer, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations, vet check and a fitted Haqihana Harness.
