Trusty Rusty - your new friend?
- Meet Rusty - a very sociable, fun-loving kitten, likely to steal your heart!
- Approximately 8 weeks old, Rusty makes his own fun, but is equally glad to have human or feline playmates. Untested with children or dogs, he’s confident around people and other cats, and plays gently with his carers.
- He is happy to be handled, and will snuggle peacefully next to a warm companion, with more than enough sweet purring to share.
- Rusty loves to play! He really enjoys interacting other cats or people (a sucker for a string toy), but is equally happy to explore, bat around little toys or other fund objects, nap, or just gaze out the window from a warm mat in the sun or a high vantage point.
- Rusty is an unfussy (read: eager) eater, litter-trained, is learning to groom himself, and is happy to be gently brushed.
- Come meet Rusty and see how he might fit in with your household!
PLEASE NOTE: I have had my 1st vaccination. Conditions of my adoption are that I have my 2nd vaccination on 11/6/25 and am sterilised and microchipped at the age of 6 months in mid-September 2025. These procedures must be done at a SAFE approved vet clinic in Busselton, Vasse or Bunbury and are covered in the adoption fee. If you live outside of these areas, the adoption fee will be adjusted to cover the costs of these procedures at SAFE approved vet clinics in other areas.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
The adoption fee includes desexing, vaccinations, microchip (including transfer of ownership), flea and worm treatment and vet check.
SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on “best fit” for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
