About Snoopy
Snoopy came into care needing quite a tidy up of his coat, with severely matted fur and in desperate need of TLC. Thankfully, a skilled groomer worked their magic, and underneath all that fur was a beautiful, loving dog with a gentle soul and a heart full of joy. The groomer couldn’t stop raving about his sweet temperament—and we wholeheartedly agree.
Snoopy is a young adult with a big heart and a fluffy white coat that will need regular grooming every 6 weeks to keep him looking and feeling his best.
He’s toilet trained, uses the dog door like a pro, and sleeps either on his bed or snuggled up with his carer. He gets two walks a day and lights up with excitement the moment the shoes come on and the lead comes out! He’s curious and loves to sniff and explore, but also listens well and can be guided into walking nicely.
He’s affectionate, enthusiastic, and always up for cuddles or a game of chase. He loves being part of the action—whether that’s a playful wrestle, lounging nearby while you relax, or hopping in the car for a ride (which he loves). He’s not clingy, just happy to be with his people and join in whatever’s going on.
He greets visitors with wagging excitement and gentle enthusiasm—no crazy jumping or licking, just a soft nudge and a request for belly rubs. He hasn’t been tested with children in our care, but his previous home suggested he may not be suited to a household with young kids. We’re not convinced that’s necessarily true, but any home with children should start with a trial period to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe.
Snoopy’s no pushover, he’s got a little lion heart and stands his ground with other dogs when need be.
Snoopy’s only real “command” is sit—and he’s more likely to oblige if there’s food involved! He’ll benefit from consistent training and structure to learn more skills. Speaking of food, he’s not a gobbler—he enjoys roast chicken and beef soup bones but stops eating when he’s full.
We believe Snoopy would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of attention and companionship, ideally with someone home most of the time or an active family who enjoys playing and cuddling. His ideal life? Play, walk, snuggle, repeat.
If you’re looking for a loving, joyful, cuddly best friend with a playful spirit and a whole lot of heart, come meet Snoopy—you might just fall in love.
