About Arthur
Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up. You're about to meet Arthur-a swaggering, slick-coated heartthrob who oozes charm, confidence, and just the right amount of "I do things my way."
At just under 2 years old, this Jack Russell boy is the very definition of cool without trying. He doesn't chase trends-he sets them. Arthur isn't the kind of pup who's going to fawn over you for no reason. No, you earn his affection. And when you do? Oh boy-it feels like winning the jackpot.
Arthur's an independent soul. He's got his own agenda (mostly involving patrols of the yard and scouting for squirrels), but he's also got a soft spot for those who get him. Think of him as your chill roommate who doesn't need constant attention but will throw you a look that says, "You're alright, kid."
🛠️ The Essentials:
Age: 22 months (just the right amount of mischief and maturity)
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier (aka tiny package, big personality)
Social Skills: Plays it cool around other dogs - no drama, just vibes.
Home Requirements: Best suited for older kids (10+) who can respect his space.
Personality: Part-time adventurer, full-time legend.
Arthur would thrive in a home that respects his independence, gives him room to explore, and appreciates a dog who marches to the beat of his own drum. He's not clingy, he's not needy-he's just Arthur. And trust us, once you've met him, you'll be begging for his attention.
😎 Think You're Cool Enough for Arthur?
If you're looking for a four-legged rebel with a cause-and that cause is looking effortlessly awesome while living his best life-then Arthur might just be your guy.
Adopt Arthur. He's not just a dog. He's an icon.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
