Looking for the pawfect housemate? Well, guess what – you just found him. I’m Bodi, a 5-year-old Groodle with a heart full of love and a waggy tail that just won’t quit!

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I’m a total people-person and I absolutely adore my humans. That being said, I am also super happy to be home alone. Whether you're watching TV, cooking dinner, or just chilling, I’ll be right there by your side, soaking up all the pats and cuddles you’ve got to offer. I’m also super chilled when you head off to work – I’ll just lounge in the living room, watching birds and the world go by. No barking, no chewing, no digging, no mess. I’ve got perfect house manners and am fully toilet trained.

And guess what – I don’t shed! That’s right, thanks to my poodle side, I’m basically a living, breathing snuggle-buddy without the fluff explosions. I'm super low maintenance, too – I don’t need much to be happy, just your love, a few soft toys, and maybe a carrot or two. Baths? No problem! Car rides? Count me in! I love cruising along watching the world go by.

When you come home, get ready for some major love. I’ll race off to grab my soft toy and shower you with affection. If you’ve got kids, even better – I love playing catch in the yard with them.

Now, I should mention – I’m looking to be your one and only dog. I prefer to have all the love (and treats!) to myself. I am not bothered by the neighbour’s dog behind the fence, but I prefer to have my house to me.

Walks? Yes please! I walk beautifully on lead when there’s no-one around, though I can get reactive if I see another dog and tend to pull and bark. I’m needing someone strong to help me work on that part and teach me that there’s nothing to be scared of. But barking dogs behind fences? I just strut on by like a total gentleman. If you can take me for a walk at a quiet time when I won’t meet other dogs on lead then I would love that, if not a great game of catch in the garden is so much fun to get my energy out.

I’m a smart cookie – I know how to sit, wait, shake, lay down, go to bed, and even get out of the way when you ask. I’m already learning the house rules, and I’d love to learn even more tricks (especially if carrots are involved – YUM). I can sit and wait for your command before I eat my food, and I will eat so gently from your hand if you are kind enough to be feeding me treats. I take a tablet each morning, and my foster mum turns this into a special treat for me by wrapping it in tasty peanut butter – yummy! We have been reducing this anxiety medication since being in foster care and so far all is going good – hopefully my new forever family can even help me wean off them all together.
