Winter

Winter is a 18 month old female budgie. She was surrendered to the rescue when her elderly owner was no longer able to care for her two budgies. She had been on an trill seed diet, and although used to be hand tame, had not been out of the cage for about a year.

When Winter came to us she was overweight and an unfit flyer, but is now able to fly around the aviary without panting. Her diet is now much more varied as well. We love watching her spread her wings and becoming fitter everyday.

Winter Needs a Home That Offers:
• Companionship of another budgie/s
• A balanced diet including crumbles, vegetables, and some seed
• Natural branches, and toys
• Lots of exercise and out of cage time to ensure she does not become overweight

Winter tested negative on chlamydia and faecal on intake.
