No cat is more worthy of Elvis Presley's iconic name than our gorgeous golden oldie!
A precious Ragdoll boy with an outgoing personality that belies his years, Elvis is the world's biggest snuggler - crawling happily into your lap for a snooze the moment you sit down on the couch. And he's just as quick to get to his food bowl when he hears those tell-tale meal prep sounds, sprinting through the house like a kitten :)
In every other way Elvis likes to live life on his own leisurely schedule. In true old man style he enjoys a good grumble - whether he's taking a stroll down the hall, brushing off the resident cat's attentions, or lamenting his empty bowl (despite having had a full meal 20 minutes earlier). He's had a rough trot recently - found abandoned and living in a bush, with his beautiful fur severely matted - so despite his complaints we know he's immensely grateful for his second chance! His new stunning coat is still loading but he's getting fluffier every day.
We couldn't help falling in love when we met Elvis, and we know you won't be able to either!
Like all Maggie's pets, Elvis Presley is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be slower-paced and reasonably quiet, please. I'm pretty easygoing, but due to my age I have some arthritis so I don't like to be over handled, which means young children who'll try to pick me up won't be a great match.
With proper introductions, I think a home with other friendly cats might be nice! I do like my personal space now and then, so hopefully none of your resident kitties are too 'in your face'.
A non-negotiable for my forever home is definitely a heater! My favourite cold evening activity is to sit in front of a heater on a pillow with my fluff blowing in the air :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a total couch potato! My daily routine consists of sleeping in a sunny spot and eating.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I should do well with considerate children aged at least 10-12. I'm an affectionate guy, but on my own terms, and I dislike being picked up or even handled too much. Kids who'll enjoy me snoozing in their lap while they watch TV sound wonderful, though!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Given the time and space to adjust, I'm sure to be fine with multi-cat life. But due to my grumpy old man nature I have to rule dogs out, unfortunately.
Medical notes
All but two of Elvis's teeth have been removed for his dental health, however this does not affect his ability to eat all types of cat food.
Elvis also has some age-related arthritis.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
