About Shirokuma
Meet Shirokuma,
Prepare for an abundance of affection! Shirokuma, or as we lovingly call him, Kuma Kuma, is a total sweetheart who simply can't get enough human love. This gentle boy is like a little shadow, following his favourite people around the house, eager to be right in the middle of whatever you're doing.
While Kuma Kuma enjoys being part of the action, he's more of an observer than a playful whirlwind. Toys aren't really his thing – his true passion lies in being close to his humans, soaking up all the cuddles and company he can get. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will happily snuggle up beside you on the couch or keep you company while you read, Kuma Kuma is your guy!
He's a very gentle soul, though our boisterous 7-month-old bulldog is a bit much for him at the moment! We think he might do well with a smaller, quieter dog, and he'd likely adore having some feline friends to groom and nap with, though we haven't had the chance to test this out here. Loud noises like the vacuum cleaner aren't his favourite, but he's been getting much braver and now just prefers a quick retreat to a higher vantage point or another room when it comes out.
Kuma Kuma has a fantastic appetite and enjoys his meals with gusto! He's had a couple of minor health hiccups – some scratches on his nose that have healed beautifully and a bit of a gunky eye that's also completely cleared up.
This special boy truly thrives on companionship and affection. We think Kuma Kuma would be happiest with someone who is home a lot, perhaps retired or working from home, who can shower him with the love and attention he so deserves. He's not destructive when left alone, but his heart truly belongs with his people. If you have a quiet home and a whole lot of love to give, Kuma Kuma is waiting to fill your life with gentle purrs and unwavering devotion! Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
