Layla is a tabby and white beauty who’s waiting patiently for someone special to help her take the next step in life. This gentle girl is timid but has a soft spot for cuddles—she just needs a bit of help coming out of her shell.
Once she’s scooped from her cosy hidey hole, Layla is capable of settling in your arms for a quiet snuggle. This girl finds a lot of comfort from children, so she would be great with your young ones.
A low-energy kitten who prefers calm and predictability, Layla spends most of her time napping in her favourite hiding spots.
She’s not a fan of loud noises or dogs, but she has been spotted playfully swatting at toys from her safe place—a little hint of the playful kitten beneath the surface.
With time, patience and a peaceful environment, Layla will continue to grow in confidence. She might benefit from the company of a calm, confident older cat who can show her that people aren’t so scary after all.
Layla is looking for an indoor-only home with a kind-hearted person who understands that progress sometimes happens in quiet moments. If you have little ones to love her, all the better!

• Timid but cuddly once picked up

• Will play from a distance when she feels safe

• Not suited to homes with dogs or loud environments

Adoption details
HOW TO ADOPT FROM US:
1. Email dandycatrescue@yahoo.com and request an adoption form to be sent to you, fill it out and return it to us. We’ll be in touch!
2. If your application is successful, we’ll make arrangements for you to visit our cats and kittens at our foster carer’s home.
3. We ask that you pay the nominated fee to us via online bank deposit either at the adoption day or at the home visit (preferred), or in cash. We do not accept eftpos, credit or debit card transactions at this stage.
4. You will be provided with a folder of paperwork for your new kitty upon adoption. Your adoption fee includes a Central Animal Records Change of Ownership that is completed by us online two weeks after the adoption.
