Hi, I'm Penne! 🐾

I'm a happy, playful little pup with a big heart and a love for adventure. I get along great with other dogs, both big and small, and I’m also good with cats—I'm not really fazed by their presence at all. Chickens, on the other hand, are definitely not for me. And while I may ignore the cats, I’ll catch and eat mice if I get the chance—so no small furry friends unless under strict supervision!

I love company and enjoy spending my days outside with my big foster sisters, but I’d also be fine as an only pet as long as I’ve got love and attention. I’ve been sleeping inside in my crate overnight and I’m a perfect girl—no accidents, no whining, just sweet dreams and quiet snuggles. During the day, I can be home alone for a few hours without any trouble (as long as you don’t mind me rearranging the garden a bit).

Now, I do have a bit of a cheeky streak—I love to chew a lot! So I’m going to need plenty of tough chew toys, enrichment activities, and positive training to help me learn what’s okay to nibble (and what’s not). I’m still young and learning, so with the right guidance, I’ll figure it out… but don’t be surprised if I try to help you “prune” your trees or “redecorate” a blanket or two in the meantime.

I'm also learning to walk on the lead and getting better every day.

I’m very gentle, even with my tiny human sister who carries me around! I might be a little shy with new people at first, but I warm up quickly and soon I’m wagging my tail and ready to play.

My favourite things? FOOD—any kind! I’m obsessed with bones, love soft toys and bottles, and I’ll happily zoom around with anything I can find—shoes, clothes, sticks, even clumps of grass! I also love rolling in garden mulch (it’s a vibe).

I’m learning my basic manners—I've got “sit” down, I’m starting to “wait” for my food, and I know my name. Toilet training is still a work in progress since I spend most of my time outside, but I’m trying! I was a well-behaved little lady at the vet and take new things in stride.

I’ve got that perfect puppy energy—playful one moment, napping the next—and I’m pretty quiet overall, only making a bit of noise when I’m playing or reminding my sister who's boss. I do need secure fencing to keep me safe, because I love to explore!
