About Sage & Willow
Meet Sage and Willow, a bonded pair of charming French Bulldogs who are eagerly waiting to find a loving home together.
These two adorable companions have an inseparable bond and are the perfect duo for someone who wants to enjoy the unique traits of the French Bulldog breed.
Four-year-old, Willow, was born on 27 July 2020. A gentle and affectionate girl, she adores being close to her human companions, whether it's burrowing under your arm or curling up on the couch for a quiet evening of television and regular tummy scratches. She has a particular fondness for women, but is also comfortable in the company of men.
Ten-year-old Sage was born on 1 March 2015. He is very people-focused and loves all humans. An affectionate boy, he enjoys being part of the family unit and loves attention, but is never far from his bestie Willow.
Since coming into ARK care, we have observed their strong bond and willingness to look out for each other. Although they have lived with other dogs in the past and could do so again, they would probably prefer a home where they don't have to compete with another dog for attention. They are not keen on cats.
They both walk nicely on leash, although Sage loves to stop regularly for a good sniff. It's important to bear in mind that Frenchies don't do well in the heat, so walks in the summer need to be in the early morning or late afternoon, and they're not swimmers. Because they are very much inside dogs, they don't need a large backyard. They are both house-trained and only bark if there is reason to do so.
Quiet and well-mannered house dogs, Sage and Willow are content as long as they have each other and their beloved humans for company.
If you are interested in adopting these delightful dogs, please begin the process by completing the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au and include photos of your yard and fencing. Thank you for considering these lovable Frenchies!
Medical notes
Sage has no known pre-existing medical conditions, but Willow has a cauliflower ear, the apparent legacy of an aural haematoma, suffered quite some time ago and now resolved. Our vet has advised that no treatment is required.
