About Terri
Introducing Terri!
Terri is a Kelpie x Mastiff born 20th September 2024.
Terri & her siblings were surrendered to the facility by their owner, as they unfortunately have become homeless & no longer have the funds to continue their care. Her surrender profile states she travels well in the car, has no separation anxiety or food aggression, is friendly with children & adult strangers, she is friendly with other dogs, she isn't house trained and she hasn't escaped their property.
Since being at the facility Terri has proved herself to be the most confident of her siblings. She is very treat focused which comes in handy with training. Terri's quite an affectionate girl and loves human companionship. We don't believe she's had much lead training so she will need an owner who is willing to continue working on her confidence while on lead.
Terri tested well with other dogs, including a large male dog & she was very excited and playful with him. We believe Terri would be suitable to live with other dogs, or be the spoilt only "child" at home. If you have another dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Terri also tested well with cats & pocket pets. We believe she would be suitable to live in a home with smaller animals if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
She still has so much to learn about the world and would love to be in a home where she is included as a member of the family. Terri will thrive in an environment that guides her with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Terri has shown no signs of food aggression since being at the facility, however she has shown mild signs of separation anxiety since being separated from her siblings. While this has settled during the week, she may need a little extra love & patience when settling into her new home.
Terri's adoption fee is $500 and includes her desexing & lifetime registration.
Terri is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
