About Adeline
Hi there! My name is Adeline (Addi for short).
I am a 1yr old Bull Arab X, 22.3 kg in weight, and although I am only young, I feel like an old soul; loyal, loving and gentle.
When my foster parents picked me up from the pound, it was obvious that I had a hard start to life. They say I was severely neglected, very skinny, had a bad skin infection, and very scared about what the future might hold. But a few weeks later, after lots of yummy food, a warm bed, medication, and lots of love, I am happy to say I feel like a new dog!
Getting healthy in a safe place has allowed my personality to shine! But even when I was sick, my foster parents say I was always sweet, gentle and craved a kind human touch.
I still am very sweet! But I have also discovered that I can be very playful! I love playing with my foster brother, whether that’s fetch or just chasing him around the yard and vice versa. I would love a home where I had another confident, friendly dog to show me that life isn’t so scary.
There’s also chickens, a horse, sheep and goats where I live! My foster parents tell me that these guys don’t like being chased so I am a good girl and follow their instructions.
I have very good recall and have shown how loyal my breed is in that regard. I am also quite clever and love learning new things! I walk well on a lead, and am great off lead as well!
If you travel a lot, you’d be glad to hear I love car rides! I think I do like adventuring but loud noises tend to frighten me. My foster parents try to desensitise me by making weird noises and big movements sometimes. I think I’m getting used to it though. Over time, I’m sure I will become more confident!
I am toilet trained and quite relaxed indoors. My foster parents often find me snoring away, snuggled up on the couch with my foster brother.
Although I will alert my family if there’s a stranger outside, apparently I don’t bark often! I guess that makes me a good guard dog.
I haven’t been around small humans at my foster home, but I reckon I’d love some little besties to lick and get belly rubs from! As long as they’re big enough to tell me to be a good girl.
At the end of the day, all I’m looking for is a loving family that can show me the kindness that I so desperately want after my troubled start to life. So please, come and meet me so I can find my forever home!
