About Fred
Meet Fred who has a lovely temperament. His elderly owner is no longer able to live independently and unfortunately this means Fred who is also elderly is looking for another home .
Fred is gentle and is very good on lead walks. He doesn't pull and stays close. He does not appear to have been around other dogs and will bark and pull if he sees one. We are getting him a trainer as this behaviour would be due to lack of contact with other dogs being with an elderly owner and we believe could be remedied.
Fred is a wonderful companion and his charm lies in his love for attention and cuddles, as well as his respect for cleanliness as he will always take himself outside to toilet. Fred is the perfect for someone who appreciates the quiet moments in life, fostering an environment of warmth and companionship as he curls up beside you at the end of the day.
Fred may be a bit older, but he still offers a world of love and devotion to the right family. If you're ready to open your heart and home to an older dog with plenty of love to give, Fred is completely ready for you!

Adoption details
Animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and on heartworm prevention / and also FIV tested for cats where possible. They are not available for adoption outside NSW (except ACT). Please email adoptpar@gmail.com if you would like further information.
Dogs and cats are rehomed on two weeks trial to ensure that both the person adopting them and the rescuer are satisfied that the dog / cat / animal is happy and adapting well to their new home and this can be extended on request
Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
Please always provide a contact phone number as a part of your enquiry.
