Moosey

Moosey is a 2-year-old bundle of joy who joined us just over a month ago and is now on the hunt for his forever home! He's a treat enthusiast and a certified lap climber. If you're looking for a dog who'll shower you with kisses and snuggle up for endless cuddles, Moosey is your guy!

Moosey loves going for walks...and walks like a pro! He is extremely gentle on leash and can't wait for all the adventures you can take him on.

Although Moosey is a Border Collie x, he lacks the basic skills that every dog needs to thrive, like sitting and fetching. However, he is extrmeely intelligent, and just needs some positivation motivation such as food and he will be mastering his skills in no time.

However, Moosey loves his treats a little too much and is currently on a weight loss plan to help him reach his ideal weight, he would need an adopter who is willing to help him along his weight loss journey!

Although Moosey is a smoochy boy, it can take him some time to warm up, he would do best in a quiet home with dog-savy teenagers to help support him. Loud noises and sudden movements can often overwhelm him, so you will need to go nice and slow with him!

Being a working breed dog Moosey can at time have lots of energy, and his adopters would need to ensure they are not only meeting his physical excercise needs but also keeping him mentally enriched (through treat puzzles and food-based enrichment).

At the moment Moosey is quite conflcited around other dogs, and would need to be the only canine companion in the household. With time and positive reinforcement Moosey may become better with his interacrtions with dogs, but for now we would advise to keep clear of dog parks.
