About Nikita aka Nikki
MEET NIKKI!
Nikita is a shy older lady looking for her furever home where she can retire, relax and enjoy years of affection and love. Nikki has been so dearly loved by her family but unfortunately she is not coping with their change in circumstances and feeling really anxious every day so they have made the heart breaking decision to rehome her to a home she deserves.
Nikki is a really sweet girl, once she gets to know you she’s very smoochy (on her terms), she doesn’t like to be picked up or held for long but she curls up at your feet on the couch/chair and loves a cuddle in bed. Nikki also LOVES to be groomed and will let you brush her for hours. Nikki has a really soft quiet meow that matches her soft and gentle personality.
Nikki sleeps most of the day now however she does have spurts of energy and will bring you her mousey when she wants to play! She loves her food.
Nikki is looking for a home with no small children/loud or busy environments (she would be fine with older kids respectful of her boundaries and personality) and a home with no other female cats please!
Nikki does not get along with her sister cat however she does groom her brother and would be okay sharing her home with another gentle, desexed male cat. She would make a wonderful companion for an older person needing some company or an adult home.
Nikki is an INDOOR only cat and has been raised indoors only.

Nikki has been to the vet every year for her yearly health check and vaccinations and has no health conditions or concerns.

Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
