About Tipsy
Meet Tipsy â A Gentle Soul Looking for a Loving Home.
Tipsy is Whippet x Greyhpund weighing in at just 24 kilos of leggy and gentle love.
Tipsy is a beautiful, kind, and timid girl who just needs a little love and patience to truly shine. She is a quiet companion with a calm nature, making her a wonderful addition to the right family.
Travel in the Car
Tipsy travels well and enjoys having the window open to take in the fresh air. She was hesitant at first but with some gentle encouragement, she quickly learned to settle in.
Inside and Outside Life
Tipsy has been mostly an outside dog as she feels more comfortable there even though she is allowed inside as well . She was nervous at first but has slowly built confidence with time and encouragement. She just needs reassurance and a safe space to feel comfortable.
Visitors
She can be a little shy with new people often retreating to her kennel until she feels safe. Once sheâs comfortable, she happily comes out for pats and attention. She is good with kids and loves affection.
Enrichment and Playtime
Tipsy loves to lay in the sun and zoom around the backyard, and play with her chewing toys She doesnât need a lot of exercise but would love a walk at least once a day and enjoys some playtime in the yard.
Independence
She is happy to stay home with her foster brother and is quiet and calm She doesnât exhibit any separation anxiety and enjoys her space.
Walks and Socialisation
Tipsy is a little timid on the lead so she will need a patient person who can help her build confidence. She currently lives with another dog and enjoys running around with him. She benefits from slow introductions to new dogs and will need continued socialisation with time and reassurance.
Obedience and Behavior
When inside, she occasionally sniffs the kitchen counters, but quickly backs away when called. She thrives in an environment where she can be showered with love and attention but she may need a little patience to fully trust.
Sleeping Habits and Toileting
She sleeps outside under the pergola in her warm kennel with no issues. However, she would also love being an end-of-bed snuggler with the right humans.
She is toilet trained and has never had an accident inside (door left open for her). When given access to the yard, she knows exactly where to go.
Ideal Home
Tipsy would thrive in a home with:
A yard where she can run and play
A quiet dog companion(though not necessary)
Patient and loving family preferably older kids or a couple who are home often
A calm and reassuring environment where she can learn to trust at her own pace
With time, kindness, and patience, Tipsy will blossom into the most loyal and loving companion She is an absolute pleasure to be around and will be an incredible addition to any family ready to open their hearts to her.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
