About The B.I.G
"The Big Journey of The B.I.G."
Once upon a tail-wag and a happy woof, there was a not-so-little puppy named The B.I.G.-short for Big, Intelligent, Gentle. At just 9 months old, The B.I.G. was already towering with long legs and floppy ears, part Great Dane and ALL heart!
One day, The B.I.G. found himself in a strange new place-a shelter full of kind people and curious smells. He missed having a cozy bed and someone to throw a squeaky toy, but he never gave up hope. "Someone out there is waiting for me," he woofed with a wag.
You see, The B.I.G. is a very clever pup. He can already sit, high-five, and shake paws like a true gentleman. He loves to bounce and play, and he dreams of a family who will giggle at his zoomies and help him learn all the grown-up dog things.
The B.I.G. would love a calm, wise older dog to be his role model-and maybe even his best buddy. And if you're a human over 14 who can handle a bit of puppy-powered rough-and-tumble, he'd adore you too!
With the right home, The B.I.G. will grow into a loyal, loving, and oh-so-goofy best friend. Could your home be his happily-ever-after?

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
