Found alone in the rain on the side of Homebush Bay Drive late one night, tiny Licorice was just 4 weeks old when she was rescued – cold, wet, and completely on her own. But don’t let her rough start fool you – this jet-black beauty has blossomed into a playful, affectionate little queen who’s ready to rule your heart.

With fur as slick and shiny as oil and bright, curious eyes that could light up the gloomiest day, Licorice is an absolute stunner. She’s got a big personality to match her big purrs – cheeky, independent, and always up for a little mischief. She loves her food and knows exactly what she wants – and she’s not shy about telling you!

While she’ll let you scoop her up when needed, Licorice prefers affection on her terms. Once she gets to know and trust you, she’ll happily curl up on your lap or snuggle beside you for a snooze. She’s incredibly loving, with a gentle but confident way about her that makes you feel lucky to be in her presence.

Licorice would shine in a single-cat home where she can be your centre of attention and feel safe, secure, and adored.
