About Ace
Ace is available for adoption, foster or foster to adopt home.
Ace's requirements for his new home:
- Another dog in the home that is playful and has similar energy levels.
- A home that will meet his energy and mental needs.
- Ace has recently moved to a rural property and is loving farm life.
- To have the option to be inside when his family is at home and to sleep of a night.
- Continue training to discourage jumping on people and a way for meeting his mental needs.
- A large sized yard, fully fenced, would love a rural property.
Ace is a young Border Collie, with plenty of energy and a love for life. His days are filled with exercise, play, and mental stimulation. As a herding dog, he will need an active home that can provide this for him, otherwise he will become bored. He enjoys playing fetch and soccer, tug of war, and keeping busy with his toys. If you like to go on outings, he'd love to jump in the car and go with you. At the end of an active day, he wants nothing more than to relax on the couch with you for cuddles and belly rubs.
Ace has been toilet and crate trained while in foster care, and knows to head to his crate at meal and bed times, although loves to snuggle on your bed if you let him. He gets along well with both male and female dogs of all ages and sizes.
He is eager to please and has learnt sit, shake and roll over so far. He’s still learning not to jump when he’s excited and being on the larger side of the bred, will need no children under 6 living in the home.
Ace recently moved to a rural property and is thriving there. A few words from his carer.
- His recall is great around the farm and he is never far from you.
- He has been great around our free range chickens while supervised.
- He is quite scared of large livestock, but is improving each day.
- He is not suited to a home with cats, he will chase them.
- He hardly ever barks.
- He loves teenages and being in the middle of them.

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
