About Sprocket
We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Sprocket sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!
Meet Sprocket! This gorgeous, playful girl is full of personality and has a special way of connecting with the people she loves. Every time her humans walk through the door, Sprocket is right there to greet them with an excited chorus of “Meow meow meow!” and a symphony of happy purrs. She loves a gentle scratch and shower of kisses when she’s in the mood, and will happily cuddle up at night or in the early morning — always on her terms, of course!
Sprocket’s heart truly belongs to playtime. She’s a wand toy fanatic, chasing, leaping, and pouncing around the house until she’s gloriously puffed out. Her playful spirit is how she shows affection, often following her people from room to room and keeping a watchful eye from her favourite perch on the balcony, where she can keep track of the birds and the world beyond.
When meeting new people, Sprocket takes her time. She’ll often observe from a safe distance, especially in a crowd, but with a smaller group, she might come say hello with a curious purr. She’s known for cheekily testing boundaries — a gentle ankle tap or playful nibble to see if you might be up for a game. A wand toy usually does the trick to win her over.
Sprocket would thrive in a calm home with experienced cat lovers who understand and appreciate her independent streak. She dreams of outdoor adventures one day (once her harness training confidence grows) and might enjoy the company of another feline friend in time. She’s a clever, affectionate companion who’ll fill your days with playful antics and heartwarming moments — like her adorable habit of meowing through the house after a nap, just to find her people for a loving head rub and a lick.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
