About Kevin
Meet Kevin, a young Dachshund with a world of personality packed into his small frame. At just 8 months old, Kevin brims with enthusiasm and curiosity about the world around him. His playful spirit and happy-go-lucky nature make him an instant favorite with everyone he meets.
Kevin has a wonderfully social disposition, making friends with people and pets alike. He's just as comfortable hanging out with fellow dogs and friendly felines as he is curled up at your side, enjoying a good scratch and some quality time. He’s a dog who thrives on attention and isn’t shy about jumping up to show his excitement.
Though still learning about the world, Kevin walks well on a lead, making him a delightful companion for daily strolls. He can be vocal, barking at various stimuli and when left alone, so he would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of engagement and company. With the right guidance and attention, Kevin is eager to learn and grow into a well-mannered adult. Kevin has shown some signs of not traveling well with car sickness.
Welcoming Kevin into your home means opening your heart to a cheerful, outgoing buddy. His playful antics and zest for life promise to fill your days with laughter and companionship as you embark on many adventures together.
Medical notes
It was observed by vets that Kevin has mild, bilateral pes varus and carpal valgus - monitor for signs of lameness.
Localized ringworm on his face that is currently being treated with topical treatments
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
