About Pat
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A family situation where people are home more often than not
If you’re looking for a friend with a heart just as beautiful as her fur, then Patty is just the greyhound for you!
Patty is one of the most affectionate and joyful dogs you’ll ever meet. She’s a people person and loves nothing more than spending time with her family. As such, Patty would best fit alongside a work-from-home/stay-at-home owner. Patty is very friendly around small children but will best suit a home with children over the age of 8 due to her energetic nature at times. Alternatively, Patty would live comfortably with another doggy friend as she lived with her daughter before entering foster care.
After first coming into foster care, Patty was scared of heights and staircases, but she has overcome her fear of steps with time! She requires a little encouragement to hop in the car but will settle in quickly, especially with a blanket or towel to lie down on.
Patty is also toilet-trained and will indicate when she needs to go outside. She sleeps well through the night, mostly on her own bed, but she has been permitted onto beds and sofas in foster care. She’s even more comfortable with her toys around her, especially teddy bears!
Out and about, Patty walks well on a lead and is a friendly gal who can get excited at times, therefore she will benefit from further doggie socialisation. Patty enjoys brisk, 10-15 minute walks in the morning but generally walks for longer periods in the evening – she loves to sniff!
Patty is a stunning gal who's ready to bring so much love to her furever family!
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
