About Totie
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- A family situation where people are home more often than not OR a doggie companion
Totie is a petite, playful, oh so pretty socialite with a zest for life and a heart of gold. Totie arrived in her foster home ready for pet life.
She’s mastered the stairs, sleeps soundly through the night on her own bed and is fully house-trained. She confidently uses the doggy door, walks beautifully on lead, and travels well in the car (though she might need a little help hopping in sometimes - but is improving).
Totie adores fluffy toys that squeak, entertaining herself by pulling out her favourites to show anyone who is home. It it important to Totie that the humans acknowledge the toy being presented, and accept that she will bring many, many toys for you to admire. You'll know once the toy basket is empty, because she will bring that to show you too! She delights in backyard zoomies, and plays tug-of-war with her whippet foster brother - making a game of Totie dragging him around the lounge on his bed - he loves it!
Totie is ok spending a few hours home alone, but is much happier with company, humans or a playful canine companion. She loves a slow walk with lots of time for sniffing, but also happily goes for a morning jog too. Once the family are home, her favourite place is on the couch snuggled between people.
Totie would make a wonderful companion for a home that:
• Appreciates a mix of playtime and snooze time
• Has another friendly dog or someone home often
• Can offer affection, routine, and room for toy parades
• Is looking for a dog who’s already well on her way to being the perfect pet
Whether she’s trotting by your side, showing off her latest toy find, joing you on coffee dates or curling up for a nap after playtime, Totie is ready to bring love, laughter, and gentle joy to her forever home.
