About Tonks
*In foster care in Carlingford, Sydney*
Meet sweet Tonks - a playful soul with so much love to give!
Found alone, injured and malnourished in a car park, Tonks has come a long way - and she’s now blooming into the most affectionate, playful and resilient little kitten you could hope to meet.
From the moment she arrived in foster care, it was clear she was ready to leave the past behind and focus on what she loves most: playtime, companionship, cuddles and more playtime! She greets everyone she meets with warm trilling purrs, craving attention and affection. Pick her up, and she’ll melt into you with one of her signature hugs - it's her special way of saying thank you for giving her a second chance :)
When you’re around, Tonks will be close by playing and watching for food or a toy. When you're busy or out, she’s content to curl up for a peaceful nap, recharging for her next round of snuggles or play. On that note, she has very particular sleeping preferences - and it’s safe to say, plush beds just don’t cut it! She’s a box connoisseur, whether it's the rattiest shoebox in the house or her litter tray. So no need to waste your hard-earned on a fancy, cosy setup for her snoozes!
Tonks is wonderfully pet-social too, getting along beautifully with any other pets - dogs and cats, big or small - who are seeking a playmate. During games with furry friends and cuddle time with humans, she fits in wherever she goes!
After a rough start, this sweet girl is ready for the life she deserves - full of love, comfort and loyal companionship.
Like all Maggie's pets, Tonks is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm incredibly adaptable and would thrive in all sorts of homes - from a quiet, one-on-one setting where I can soak up all the love and attention, to a bustling household full of people, activity and other pets. Whether I'm the centre of your world or part of a lively crew, I'll find my place with ease. My gentle nature and easygoing personality make me just as happy curling up for a movie night as I am joining in on the fun with kids, visitors and furry friends.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm full of beans - everything is a toy, and I'm always up for a game or a good zoomy session around the house! I'll definitely keep you entertained with my bursts of excitement and playful spirit. But there's more to me than my party persona - and when I need a cuddle, I'll walk right up to you and say, 'It's time!' for a hug and a pat. My perfect balance of playfulness and affection makes me the best of all worlds!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I've had terrific experiences with the children I've met in foster care! I usually run up eagerly to investigate new arrivals, and play with everyone and everything I encounter :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: There are four resident pets in my foster home - two older cats, a Labrador and a mixed breed medium-sized dog - and I love playing with them all!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
