Freya, the Devoted Goddess of Love (and Pats)

Once burdened with the weight of the world (and three rambunctious kittens), Freya arrived in the realm of foster care and, like magic, her true nature was revealed. Within five minutes—five heartbeats—she purred her siren song of gratitude and began kneading the earth as if to awaken it with her love.

This is no ordinary feline.
Freya is the Norse goddess reborn, and her gift is boundless affection. She is the weaver of bonds, the bringer of joy, and the seeker of hands. Her life’s purpose? To love, and to be loved in return. She orbits her chosen human like the sun chases the moon, her every moment steeped in devotion, soft paws and soulful, all-consuming eye contact.

Freya trusts all mortals she encounters, believing each one to be a new worshipper in her temple of snuggles. Yet she knows her Chosen—the one she will follow from room to room, the lap she will claim as her throne, the soul she will bless with her gaze. Her love is deep, pure, and slightly ridiculous in its intensity.

She played joyfully with her kittens and still enjoys a lively tussle or the swat of a toy. Mighty hounds do not trouble her; even the great wolf Fenrir himself would find her utterly unfazed. Other cats? She may accept them with a noble grace—or offer a regal hiss. It is said the moods of mother goddesses are tied to the moon, after all.

Children she greets as gentle giants, patiently accepting their clumsy love and offering purrs in exchange. She has never struck in anger, never retreated in fear. The fiercest she’s ever been is in the heat of battle while “baking cookies,” claws flexing in excitement, not wrath.
