About Ivy
In the heart of the domestic jungle, where sunbeams stream through windows like golden vines, a gentle spirit waits quietly among the shadows... Her name is Ivy, and like her namesake, she winds her way softly into your heart.
This stunning 3-year-old calico queen may not swing through the trees or roar from the treetops-no, Ivy is a creature of quiet corners and whispered moments. She's the type to observe before she pounces, to watch the world with wide, curious eyes before choosing where she'll curl up and call home.
At first glance, she may seem reserved, cautious-perhaps a little shy. But don't be fooled. Like ivy in the wild, she's a slow grower, yes-but once she finds her space, she blooms with loyalty and warmth. One moment you'll find her nestled between the couch cushions, the next she's quietly perched beside you, her presence calm and grounding like soft moss underfoot.
She prefers peaceful surroundings, slow introductions, and gentle voices. Loud noises and fast movements aren't her style-but if you're patient, her affection is a treasure worth waiting for.
Whether she's lounging like a leopard in a sunlit patch or gently weaving herself into your daily life, Ivy will bring the beauty of the jungle's stillness to your home.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
