About Tillie
Meet Tillie!
4-Year-Old Beagle x Harrier Mix | Scent Hound Extraordinaire | No Cats Please
If Snoopy had a long-lost cousin with a nose for adventure and a heart full of love, it would be Tillie. This outgoing, four-year-old Beagle x Harrier mix is a spirited girl with a true hound's heart-curious, clever, and always ready to follow her nose wherever it leads.
Tillie is the perfect blend of affectionate and independent. She's the type who'll cuddle up with you after a long sniffari in the backyard or park, Like all scent hounds, she thrives when her mind and nose are engaged, so a home that understands her breed traits (or is keen to learn) will suit her best.
True to her beagle roots and like the beloved Snoopy himself, Tillie has a social, friendly nature-especially with other dogs. She'd love a canine companion who enjoys play and exploration. Her ideal family includes respectful teenagers (14+) who can keep up with her enthusiasm and provide gentle guidance when she needs it.
Tillie must go to a home without cats or other small pets. Tiny furry friends just aren't her scene.
Whether she's playing "Flying Ace" in the yard or channeling her inner Joe Cool while lounging in the sun, Tillie is a joy to be around. She'll keep you smiling, keep you moving, and definitely keep you entertained.
Tillie is:
✅ Dog social and playful
✅ Great with teens 14+
✅ Smart and food motivated
✅ Energetic and affectionate
✅ House-trained and ready to roll
❌ Not suited to homes with cats or small animals
If you're ready for a loyal sidekick with comic strip charm and a nose that knows no limits, Tillie might just be your next best friend.
Are you ready to meet her today-and bring home your very own Snoopy-in-the-making!

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
