About Pesto
Hi my name is Pesto, I’m a 3 year old male tri-coloured Border Collie x Sarplaninac. I am a friendly guy who is always ready to greet you with a smile for pats, and have been known to rest my eyes during belly rubs.
I come when my name is called or I’m whistled at, and I know to sit and wait for my dinner. I love treats and will listen even more intently when they’re on offer! I enjoy my daily walks, and since being in foster care have had a blast playing, wrestling and zooming around the backyard with my foster sister. I love playing fetch and tug of war too!
I’m always ready for a road trip, I travel well in the car and will jump straight in the car if the door’s open. Since being in foster care I’ve mainly slept inside in my crate, and a few nights outside, either way I sleep all through the night without a peep. I’ve met the resident cat through the flywire door and while I’ve been in my crate, I gave him a sniff but I’m not particularly interested in him.
I’m a clever and playful boy who sometimes forgets my own size, so I would only be suited to a home with confident older children.
I would be happy as the only dog in the household, or with another chilled female. My beautiful soft fur needs to be brushed regularly so it doesn’t get too messy or matted. Due to my Dad being Sarplaninac (guardian breed) I require a home on acreage where my natural guardian instincts can be best utilised.
Please send in an application if it sounds like we could be new best friends!

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
