Meet Shadow – The Gentle Giant in the Making

Age: 1 year 1 month
Breed: Mastiff x (Large Breed)
Size: Currently ~30–33kg

Shadow is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. This young man has had a rough start to life. He was quite shy when we first met, but curious in nature and ever so gentle. He soon learned that he could trust us, but any sudden mistep and he went into hiding. We don't know his history, other than he was likely in the back yard without any exposure, but we are changing all of that

Shadow is a stunning young boy with soulful eyes (complete with built-in eyeliner!) that he knows exactly how to use to melt hearts. Still very much a bouncy, curious pup, Shadow is just beginning to discover the joy of play, thanks to his wonderful canine foster siblings.

He is now toilet & house trained, learning to enjoy car rides and is looking for a family who has the time and patience to guide him and teach him the skills required to live in this human centric world we live in, so he can continue his journey in becoming a well balanced more confident dog

Once shy and shutdown — he used to pancake flat to the ground, Shadow has blossomed into a goofy, affectionate, food-loving goofball. He’s still a little nervous with new people and environments, but with gentle guidance, patience, and time, he’ll reward you with deep loyalty and cuddles galore. His safe space is his crate, which has been essential to his progress — he’ll retreat there to relax, reset, or simply have some quiet time or a nap.

Shadow is:
• House trained like a champ
• Crate trained and self-soothing
• Learning to play and socialise with dogs
• Cautiously respectful of other animals (even turtles!)
• Sooky, sweet, and silly once comfortable
• A clumsy zoomie-machine in the best way
• Likely to be medium–high energy as he grows

This beautiful boy would thrive in a quiet but active home with a calm but playful canine friend to continue showing him the ropes. He’s not just learning how to play, he’s learning how to dog, and having a furry mentor has made all the difference.

Shadow will do best with someone who understands that trust takes time, but who also sees the bright, cuddly, adventurous pup waiting just beneath the surface. Once you’re in his circle, you’ll have a best mate for life.

Shadow is mostly indoors but loves his time outdoors as well, he loves to run and play with his canine foster siblings.

As Shadow is still a young pup, he will require continued training and further development of his lifestyle skills to become the best version of himself.

Shadow is fed premium dry food with raw meat mix and veggies, + supplements for healthy skin and coat, and digestion
