About Simon
Simon is a confident and cuddly Shar Pei puppy with a great mix of energy and calm. He loves a good wrestle with his brother and a round of tug-of-war with a sock, but most of the time you'll find him snoozing in the sun or curling up beside you for a nap. He sleeps a lot - and that includes during car rides, which he loves.
Simon is crate trained, toilet trained, and goes to bed around 9pm like the good boy he is. He walks beautifully on lead, rarely pulling, and tends to stick close by your side. He's also very food motivated, which makes training a breeze.
He's social with people, both at home and out and about, and enjoys getting pats - just not so much on the top of his head. Chin scratches are the way to this guy's heart. He's met plenty of strangers and greets them with confidence and curiosity.
Simon loves his tennis balls, bones, and soft blankets - basically anything he can chew, chase, or snuggle with. He'll happily join in on playtime, but is equally content just being near you and watching the world go by.
Simon is playful, gentle, and easygoing. Whether you're after a walking buddy, a loyal companion, or a wrinkly shadow who'll follow you from room to room, he'll happily be all three.
Simon is still learning how to socialize with other dogs, he is quiet vocal and boisterous at the moment so he will need to learn further dog socializing manners in his new home.
As a Shar Pei, Simon will do best in a home with an experienced dog owner who understands the unique needs of the breed. Shar Peis can be independent and strong-willed, so consistency, structure, and ongoing training will help Simon grow into a well-mannered adult dog. With the right guidance, he'll be a loving, fun, and loyal companion.
