About Ranger
Meet Ranger – the Three-Legged Wonder!
Ranger’s story started on the streets, where he was spotted limping with what looked like a possible broken leg and an injured paw. Concerned for his safety, we asked the local Council Rangers to find him and bring him into care. Sadly, his owners couldn’t afford the treatment he desperately needed and chose to surrender him so he could get the help he deserved.
After assessment, it was clear that Ranger’s paw injury was severe and beyond repair. He underwent a full leg amputation - but don’t feel sorry for him! Seven weeks post-surgery, Ranger has made an incredible recovery and hasn’t let it slow him down one bit.
This two-year-old Rottweiler-Kelpie mix is full of life, love, and personality. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves cuddles, and responds well to treat-based training. While he’s still learning not to jump up when excited, he’s a smart cookie who’s eager to please.
Ranger’s favourite activities include tug-of-war, chasing his foster sister (who’s twice his size!), and letting out his hilarious, sassy little howl. He’s got a great watchdog instinct and will thrive with someone experienced and patient.
Ranger is desexed, vaccinated, and ready to leap - literally! - into his forever home. He gets along well with other dogs but would do best in a home without cats or young children.
If you’re looking for a loyal, cheeky, and courageous companion, Ranger’s ready to meet you!

We want to give a heartfelt shoutout to Cassie, Ranger’s amazing foster carer, for everything she’s done to help this boy on his road to recovery.
Cassie has provided Ranger with not just a safe and loving home, but also the stability and care he needed while healing - physically and emotionally. Her dedication has been a huge part of his rehab journey, and we are so grateful.
Foster carers like Cassie are true heroes behind the scenes ❤️
