Meet RYKER
When Ryker was found wandering the streets, he was less a “streetwise pup” and more a “walking buffet for ticks.”
Luckily, a legendary human took him home, gave him a bath, and began tick eviction proceedings while trying to find his owner.
Ryker then took a turn - vomiting and passing a lot of bloody poop.
Cue panic. Cue emergency vet trip.
Parvo? Negative.
Tick disease? Bingo.
Diagnosis: Canine ehrlichiosis
While battling that, he was also:
• Underweight
• Had a rash and was itchy all over
Fast-forward to now?
Tick disease: treated.
Weight: gained.
Rash: gone.
Ryker is now THRIVING - he’s playful, friendly, great with energetic dog friends, protective and loving.
Ryker is estimated to be around 11 months old and he is now ready for his forever home.
Breed? We are totally unsure - maybe some dane, wolfhound, arab?
