Luna is a bright, affectionate girl with a heart full of love and a strong desire to connect with her people. She can take a little time to feel comfortable in new situations, and once she does, her gentle and loving nature really shines.
She integrates beautifully into a family environment and has shown herself to be friendly and calm with school-aged children. Luna is very smart, highly trainable, and food-motivated, making her a pleasure to work with and eager to learn. She has lived as an inside/outside dog and would do best in a home where she is allowed to be close to her humans.
Luna does have some specific health and social needs that will help her thrive. She requires a strictly chicken-free diet due to a confirmed allergy. To support her wellbeing and happiness, she is best suited to a single-dog home and would be most comfortable in a household without cats. She can be reactive to other dogs, however has improved so much since coming into care, and will only benefit from continued structured exposure. She's not a dog park kinda girl, but is doing really well with the other dog that lives downstairs at her foster home.
This girl has come such a long way since being in care, thanks to the dedication of her foster carer. With the right home that understands her needs and appreciates her intelligence and affection, Luna will make a loyal, loving, and rewarding companion. She's a special girl who deserves to be loved!
Luna is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
