About Archer
Weight: 38.4 kg
•Needs an experienced dog owner who can respect Archer’s independent nature and is physically able to handle his strength
• A calm, dog-free household where he can relax and enjoy his own space
• Someone who enjoys peaceful walks and doesn’t mind Archer’s aloof yet loyal companionship
Archer is a distinguished 10+ year-old German Shepherd mix with a calm yet independent nature. Having spent some time in a home before coming back to the shelter, this has proven Archer to be a strong-willed and strong-bodied companion, especially on walks, making him best suited for an experienced handler who can manage his energy. Archer can be selective with other dogs, and his ideal home would be one without other animals and a lifestyle where he isn’t frequently exposed to other dogs while on leash. A bit aloof towards people, Archer prefers a more laid-back existence, content to lounge around and do his own thing. He’s not one for constant interaction but will appreciate the quiet companionship of someone who respects his space and enjoys his company in a calm environment. While Archer may not be the most affectionate dog, he will make a loyal and low-maintenance companion for the right person. With the right routine and boundaries, Archer can thrive in a peaceful, dog-free home where he can relax and enjoy his senior years in comfort.

Adoption details
Save-A-Dog Scheme operates as an adoption agency for our dogs and cats. We spend a substantial amount of time getting to know our animals and we try to match each animal's needs with the new home's needs. We don't work on the same principle as purchasing from a shop or on a 'first come first served' basis. When you visit us, you can be sure we'll do our best to work with you to help find the right companion animal for your home and lifestyle.
