About Mottie
This is Mottie, a 6 year old Pug x spaniel who loves nothing more than going for a lovely long walk, and discovering new places, meeting lots of dogs and getting plenty of cuddles.
Mottie's previous life was far from good. We definitely want to make sure he goes to the very best of homes. Mottie really needs a dog friend in the house. 🏠
At round 11 kilos, he’s a small but sturdy fellow. He is very placid by nature, getting along with all dogs and humans.
He has not been tested with cats, but has ignored them when they have been in his line of vision.
Mottie enjoys his food, but is very well-behaved around it, and seems to be more motivated by cuddles than tucker.
He is obedient, and very well-behaved in the home. He is a non-shedding dog, and is easy to handle, though any medications need to be masterfully disguised in something delicious.
As Mottie seems to not have had a very enriched life so far, he deserves a home where he will be taken for long varied walks, to dog parks, and to places where he can discover the world and make lots of friends.
His beautiful affectionate nature and good manners means he will be a truly wonderful companion for a very lucky human.
Motiie needs a home that will continue to socialise him with lots of outdoor activities.
Although he was described by previous owner that he was a Maltese we believe he is a pug x cavalier spaniel.
Medical notes
Mottie had X-rays of his hips, stifles and spine. On examination, he is NOT painful in hips or stifles but he has grade 2 patella laxity in the R knee.
However, this should cause lameness of RHL.
He was moderately painful on palpation of Thoracic and lumbar spine.
We performed x-rays of hips, stifles and spine but could see anything major (please see link below). Both knee joints are stable so less likely to be an issue with cruciate.
Currently I'm anti inflammatory which will need to be continued.(birth defect)
