About Kiwi
Hi, I’m Kiwi! 🥝
I might be a little shy at first, but I’m learning every day that the world isn’t as scary as I once thought. I’ve been living with my sister Mandarin, and while we haven’t really hung out with other cats, I think with slow introductions, I could be friends with another gentle kitty. I haven’t met any dogs yet, but I’d probably be okay with a calm one who gives me space. I’d also be fine as your one and only – I’m pretty good at keeping myself entertained!
I’m still unsure around loud noises or new people, but when my foster carer comes in with food or toys, I light right up. I love pats and I can’t help but purr when I’m happy! My absolute favourite thing to do is chase a ribbon on a string – I’ll run and pounce and show off my playful side. I’m also perfectly litter trained and have no accidents at all – neat and tidy, just how I like it.
Here’s what my foster carer wants you to know: once my sister and I feel safe and trust you, we’re very affectionate girls — even without food. That said, treats definitely warm us up faster! We know the sound of the treat bag rustling and will eat from your hand like little baby goats 🐐.
These days, I weave around my foster carer’s legs and hop up on her lap just for affection or a nap. If you understand that it might take about a month to see this side of me, I promise you’ll be rewarded with a loyal little companion who truly wants to be near.
Oh — and I’m totally obsessed with plastic springs. I carry them around the house, bat them everywhere, and sometimes my carer even finds them in my water bowl (don’t ask me why, I just like it there! 😹).
I’d do best in a quiet home where I can take my time to settle in, maybe with older kids or someone who understands that love sometimes starts small and grows with trust. I’m not perfect — but I’m trying. And I’d love to keep trying with you. 💛
