About Wombat
WOMBAT is looking for a new forever home!
His adoptive family can no longer keep him as he has attacked the family cat and needs to move. He is dearly loved by his family however the living situation can no longer work.
Wombat adores all people adults and children alike. Due to his energy he will be better in a home of children over 5.
Wombat can be in a home with another dog as he is ok with other dogs once he gets to know them and has been settled with training treats.
Definitely no cats or pocket pets and is constantly on the hunt for birds and possums.
Wombat is fine to be left alone when no one is home he loves lying around in sun snoozing. He generally prefers to be outside during the day even when someone is home. He does not try and escape.
His owners have been consistent with his training and he is toilet trained, sleeps well inside and is good on the lead.
He does have some issues when out walking and comes across another dogs and starts barking but can be redirected with treats so this will need to continue to be worked on.
Wombat is very treat motivated and has learned to sit, drop and shake when rewarded by treats, but still hasn't quite grasped that he needs to do it anyway whether a treat is involved or not so his training will need to be continued.
Wombat is very handsome and loving and needs a new furever home but needs to be moved urgently so a foster home for now while we continue to look for his home will also be considered.
