Meet Pattie,
Pattie is a cheerful, bouncy sweetheart with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure! With her confident strut and sunny personality, Pattie is ready to wiggle her way into the hearts of experienced dog owners looking for a vibrant, fun-loving pup.
Pattie is adaptable and would thrive in just about any household – from solo adventurers to active families always on the go. She’s a social butterfly who loves to be part of the action, whether it's a weekend hike, a game of fetch, or just hanging out while you do your thing.
This playful girl is friendly, affectionate, and always up for a cuddle (on her terms, of course – she likes a little independence, too!). She’s got just the right mix of excitement and chill – expect a dog who’s thrilled to see you but also content doing her own thing when you’re busy.
Pattie would be a great match for someone who understands dogs and can appreciate her zest for life. If you're looking for a pup who will keep you laughing, moving, and smiling every single day – Pattie might just be your perfect match!
Ideal Home: Pattie is suitable to live in a townhouse, standalone home or on a farm/acerage, with a medium to large yard & high, secure fencing.
Family: Pattie is open to meet kids from 5 years & up -she's a loving girl who has no much of her time to give to people. She's playful & may accidently knock smaller kids over during play time. She is best to live with people who work part-time hours.
Pattie is fine to spend time in the yard on her own but would be better suited in a home which allows her access to inside more often than not.
Furry Friends: Pattie is best to be the only dog in the home. During her dog assessment it was clear she Pattie is not interested in making friends - and that's ok, because Pattie is still a very lovely dog.
As we cannot test in the environment, we are not sure how Pattie would go living with cats/pocket pets. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
Training & Development: Pattie would benefit from post-adoption training such as training at home to cover basic commands/obedience. While it is rare, Pattie may jump on your occasionally to say hello.
Pattie is still learning her name but she knows commands such as: sit. In addition, she's a very trainable dog. She is food motivated and is known to be gentle when taking treats from you - so having treats on you during training to mark good behaviour would be an excellent idea.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: Pattie has mid-range energy needs & would benefit from exercise or walks from 20-60mins a day to keep her happy & healthy. Pattie shows some interest in playing with toys but prefers personal play with her handlers.
Pattie walks well on a lead with minimal pulling. She is fine to be walked on either a harness or collar.
Staff Comments: Pattie enjoys being with you and sharing moments with you. She's a lovely girl with a cheeky nature and she adores being patted, cuddled & walked.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
