About Bear
Meet Bear, a striking 6-year-old Ridgeback/ Black Mouth Cur mix with a heart as big as his name suggests. He is full of affection and wants nothing more than a family to call his own. Bear has been a loyal only dog for most of his life, he is very protective of his family so it would be best if he was an only dog.
Bear is fully prepared for his next chapter, as he is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. With his impressive track record of living harmoniously with children, Bear has consistently been a dependable and friendly companion. He's terrific at alerting his family to any unexpected visitors, providing both comfort and security in the home.
Though he hasn't been tested with cats or smaller pets, due to his protective nature he is not suitable to be homed with small pets. Whether he's lounging by your side or exploring a yard, Bear is ready to bring his loving and protective nature to a new and caring household. If big-hearted loyalty and a gentle soul are what you seek, Bear might just be the perfect addition to your family.

Adoption details
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the Promising Paws Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal.
We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home or in a public place. If you have other animals they should please be at the meet.
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed.
*Same gender adoptions will not be considered. Same sex aggression is something at Promising Paws we will avoid. *
