Meet Summer – A Special Budgie Looking for the Right Home

Summer is a stunning adult female Lutino budgie with a bold spirit and a love for freedom and flight. She is a special girl that needs a home that respects her boundaries.

Summer has a history of hormone-induced aggression, which unfortunately led to the loss of her previous female cage mates. Because of this, she cannot be housed with other female budgies in the same cage, but she is thriving in our mixed-gender aviary. She is searching for a home where she can have her own space while still enjoying the company of other birds nearby.

Her Ideal Home Includes:
• A safe aviary with space to fly or an indoor home where she can exercise daily
• No nest boxes or enclosed spaces – this is a must for all our birds!
• No female cage mates (although she can live alongside them in separate cages or aviary settings)
• Lots of natural enrichment – gumtree branches, toys, and things to shred

Her diet includes Passwell crumbles mixed with vegetable chop, plus seed in the evening.

Health Status:
• Cleared for Chlamydia
• Cleared on her faecal test
