About Dairy Queen
*In foster care in Austral, Sydney*
If you’re looking for a gentle soul who thrives on affection, Dairy Queen (Dairy for short) might just be your perfect match!
Calm, sweet and cuddly, this fluffy white girl is looking for comfort and connection in her forever home. Her love language is responding rapturously to pats and belly rubs, and snuggling close to you on the couch or bed. And her signature move? A little bunny-hop head-butt that insists, 'Pat me now, please!' She’ll chirp sweetly when she excitedly greets you, especially in the mornings when breakfast is on her mind!
As the evening rolls in, Dairy starts her bedtime routine - or rather, 'the' bedtime routine! If her foster carer isn't in bed, Dairy usually finds her downstairs and waits patiently next to her on the couch. Once she starts to move towards the stairs, Dairy perks up and runs ahead, meowing as if to say, 'Finally! Let’s go!' Then she leaps onto the bed, demands a few pats, and when she's ready she settles down for the night. A delightful ritual :)
Dairy Queen has recently been diagnosed with feline asthma, but it doesn’t hold her back from living the good life. She does need a puffer to manage her condition but her medication is inexpensive. Dairy Queen is looking for a family that will look past her condition and see her for the beautiful loving kitty she is. She deserves a froever home too.
Like all Maggie's pets, Dairy Queen is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be peaceful and serene, where I can feel safe and build trust at my own pace. I do best with gentle, patient humans who understand that love takes time - but once I’m comfy, I’ll be your little shadow and your couch buddy! If you love company and cosy evenings, we’ll be a perfect fit.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm an easygoing, low-energy cat who enjoys nothing more than curling up beside you on the couch. Every now and then, I get a burst of kittenish energy and do some zoomies - but for the most part, I’m happy to simply be near you, quiet and content. I’m easy to care for and even easier to love!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I’ll be happiest in an adults-only home, as kids can sometimes be a bit too unpredictable for my tastes.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Though I've never lived with other pets, I don't think I'd mind after a period of adjustment.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
