About Kukura
Hello friends, my name is Kukura – which means 'dog' in Sanskrit. Some say Sanskrit is the language of the gods… and since 'dog' is 'god' spelled backwards, I like to think that’s a pretty perfect fit for me!
I’m a handsome young lad with a distinctive upper lip curl (some say I’ve got a bit of an Elvis vibe!), and a gorgeous white-tipped tail. I'm a little smaller than some of my male greyhound pals, so I won’t take up too much space on your couch – though I will take up a lot of space in your heart.
Everyone at Greyhound Rescue has completely fallen for my sweet and gentle nature. I’ve even heard the word 'smitten' whispered more than once! While I might be a touch shy at first, I’m calm and friendly around other dogs of all sizes. I haven’t met any children yet, so I’d need a slow and gentle introduction to little humans.
At just 2 years old, I’m still discovering all the wonderful things life has to offer – like toys, tasty treats, and those heavenly ear scritches. I’m a quick learner and with a bit of patience and kindness, I’ll soon be your loyal, loving companion.
Ready to welcome a little godlike goodness into your life? I'm waiting to meet you!
Interested?
If you think you'd be interested in meeting me, please complete an application form here https://greyhoundrescue.com.au/apply-now/ so that the volunteers at Greyhound Rescue can get on the case.
Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way!
All hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested/treated. The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit - collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
