Handsome Enzo is a 14-month-old German Shepherd, this goofy teenager is looking for a forever home where he can be part of the family and continue to grow into the amazing dog he’s destined to be.

Enzo may be a little shy when first meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long for him to warm up—especially if you come bearing treats or toys! Once he knows you, he is affectionate and loyal and will happily follow you from room to room. Enzo is used to having someone home often and would love to be included in indoor family life, he is still learning how to be gentle and doesn’t quite realise his own size, so a home with children over 5 years old would be best.

Enzo knows his basic commands and is a very quick learner, being food and toy motivated, he is a dream to train, this boy has endless potential. Enzo would highly benefit from group obedience classes as well as regular training sessions at home to help him learn to focus around distractions and further build his confidence. Enzo walks well on a lead; he is not reactive to other dogs and generally will walk without pulling too much.

Enzo wakes up each morning ready to play, this boy has bursts of energy and will require an outlet through exercise, training and mental stimulation. Enzo is looking for an active family that will take him on adventures and ensure he is living life to the fullest, once he has had a big play or walk, he is quite happy to chill out and nap the day away in the sun. Enzo has not been destructive when left alone for an extended time in foster care.

Enzo enjoys meeting other dogs and at times, can get a little over-excited to say hello. Enzo likes to play rough with others and will annoy other dogs to get them to play. Enzo could absolutely live another dog, one that is tolerant and happy to play with this big pup, he would also be fine as the only dog in his new home, he is very engaged with his humans when he is 1 on 1.

Enzo hasn’t been tested with cats or other small pets, he has shown some interest in the resident chickens but for the most part leaves them alone, he can walk past livestock with minimal reaction.

Enzo is a goofy boy with a silly side, he loves playing in water and chasing the hose, he will squeeze himself into the smallest seat or even fall asleep on top of the outdoor dining table! This boy has the best personality, you can’t help but smile and shake your head at his fun-loving, sweet nature, he is sunshine in dog form!
