About Max
Meet Max! This dearest boy is looking for a new home after his owner had a terrible accident and can no longer care for him. He had to spend 7 months in the kennels so this poor boy has been through alot of change. 💔
He has only known one owner so we want to find a safe quiet home where he can decompress and be the loved companion that he is, and that he has been his whole life. 🏡
Don’t let his age fool you though, when he fully adjusts he will show you his full personality and to be honest, he is quite impressive!! 🏆
He loves to run around and sniff and inspect every blade of grass in the backyard but don’t worry he is too smart to be a digger! 🌼
He will try and protect his family from those pesky cane toads so best you keep him away from them! Like he really doesn’t like cane toads!! 🐸
He is toilet trained and has learnt to use a doggy door in record time! 🚽👌
While in foster care he hasn’t had much chance to socialise with other dogs, but he has greeted several appropriately through the fence. Apparently in his previous life he enjoyed the company of calm small female dogs. 👍
No matter the destination he love rides in the car. 🚗
He loves and needs a daily walk, and he is working hard on his leash manners. 🦮
He loves to run and run, so love open spaces that are fully fenced so he can do my zoomies off lead! 🤪
Max is a sweet quiet and loving boy who loves pats and belly rubs!! 🧡
He needs a home where he can live inside where he can spend time and sleep near his family. 🌛
He is suited to a family where he can be the only pet and if there are older children that they are dog savvy. 👨👩👧👧
He loves people so much that he would prefer someone home more often than not and he would love a family that will work with him to build his confidence to be home on his own. 🏡
If you haven’t already gathered, Max is super smart and loves to learn new things especially when there are treats or interactive food toys involved because he is highly food motivated. 🎓
He has a few peeves though… visits to the vets, people in his face and… toads!! 🤣
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
