Hi there, I'm Rufus!

I'm a big, goofy, lovable boy with a heart full of love and legs full of zoomies! Life started out a bit rough-I came into care as a stray-but I'm ready to leave the past behind and find a forever family who'll love me just as much as I'll love them.

I'm the kind of dog who turns heads: I'm outgoing, playful, and happiest when I'm with people who like adventure, belly rubs, and lots (and lots) of toys. I'm a strong lad so I would benefit from an experienced large-breed owner who can help me learn some leash manners. I promise I'm worth the effort!

I'd do best in a home with teens, not because I don't love little ones, but because I might knock them over with my size and excitement and I'll probably take all their toys. I'll need to meet any other dogs you have-I'm friendly, but I like to do my own thing sometimes.

I would love if my new home had no small animals or cats as I'm a bit too curious for their liking. But if you're an active family with space in your heart and home with secure fencing, and maybe a toy box that needs emptying, I could be your perfect match.

I dream of being part of family life-inside for snuggles, outside for playtime, and loved every moment in between.
